Bristol Virginia City Councilman Doug Fleenor Files Lawsuit Against City Council

There’s a political show down brewing on Bristol, Virginia’s City Council. This coming Monday, Council members were scheduled to hold a called meeting to discuss their intentions of ousting outspoken councilman Doug Fleenor. That meeting has been cancelled and now Fleenor has filed a lawsuit against his fellow council members. City Council is accusing Fleenor of, among other things, malfeasance and are attempting to oust him from his duties as councilman. Fleenor’s lawsuit asks for a permanent injunction restraining council from removing Fleenor from his seat on City Council.
