Rogersville Woman Leads Police On Three County Chase…Ends With Drug And Traffic Charges
In Rogersville, a woman is facing a drug charge and numerous traffic violations after leading police on a high speed chase through Hawkins County, into Grainger County twice, and eventually ends in Morristown. 26 year old Ashlei Diana Shanks of Rogersville reached speeds of one hundred miles per hour during the pursuit before she was finally apprehended. Following a search of the vehicle authorities discovered Shanks was in possession of Methamphetamine. A passenger in Shanks’ car managed to jump out of the vehicle and made a getaway. Police, however, found the ID of the suspect. Shanks is scheduled to appear in court Monday in Hawkins County.
