A former Russell County doctor pleads guilty to having an inappropriate affair with one of his patients. 62 year old Alfredo Cervantes will be sentenced January 4th and faces up to thirty years in prison and a 500 thousand dollar fine. Cervantes pleaded guilty to encouraging his patient to consume alcohol while she was prescribed narcotics for treatment. Prosecutors say Cervantes milked Medicaid of nearly ten thousand dollars in psychiatric care that he never performed.
