Norton, Virginia Man Accused Of Murder…Waives Preliminary Hearing

A man in Norton Virginia, accused of murder in Lee County, Virginia has waived his preliminary hearing. Court documents show, 25 year old Leon Tylor Smith was arrested three days after he allegedly shot 34 year old Lee David Lipps multiple times at his Pennington Gap, Virginia home in August. Witnesses say they saw Smith running away from the scene the day of the murder. Evidence gathered at the scene also revealed ammunition matching shell casings that were found.
