Child Struck While Attempting To Board School Bus In Washington County, Tennessee

A Washington County Tennessee school student was injured with non life threatening injuries while attempting to board a school bus early Tuesday morning. The accident occurred around six thirty on highway 81 south and blocked both lanes of traffic. A vehicle traveling below the speed limit from the opposite direction failed to stop and hit the child as he crossed the road. The bus was carrying five other students, no other injuries were reported and the driver of the car was cited for failure to stop for a school bus.
