Former Sullivan Dispatcher Suing Sheriff’s Department

A former Sullivan County dispatcher has filed a complaint and a lawsuit in U.S. District Court in Greeneville. Kendra Canipe worked for the department for more than eight years and claims she was terminated from her position because of her pregnancy, her disability and her requests for family leave. Sullivan County attorney Dan Street says the case is scheduled for mediation on January 9th.
