Water Quality Sample Being Studied From Watauga Lake

Off the shores of Watauga Lake is where the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation officials are trying to gain answers as to why the water has turned a brownish color. The discoloration may be a natural occurring event with seasonal changes, but a water quality sample is being evaluated. The results should be known within the next few days.
