UPDATE: Suspects in 2018 Wythe County armed robbery to plead guilty

Attorneys for two South Carolina men charged in an armed robbery last year at a Interstate 81 truck stop have informed federal court officials that they plan to plead guilty. Michael Anthony Wilson and Elijah Sumpter are accused of robbing the I-81 Travel Plaza in Wythe County at gunpoint. The pair were captured after crashing an SUV that police said was taken during a carjacking in Orangeburg, South Carolina. The two were scheduled to go on trial next month.
