Bristol Tennessee Man Charged With Aggravated Kidnapping And Other Offenses
A Bristol Tennessee man is facing a host of charges including aggravated kidnapping. 60 year old Steven Collins is arrested after allegedly kidnapping the woman who was going door to door selling books. The victim told police that Collins put a knife to her throat, choked her, handcuffed her and tied her feet, then gagged the woman. She managed to untie herself and escape by jumping out a window and then calling police. She was taken to a local hospital where she was treated for a broken bone in her foot and a compression fracture to her spine. Collins fled the scene in a Silver Ford Explorer and refused to stop for police before crashing his vehicle on Delaney Street. Collins is being held in Sullivan County on a 110 thousand dollar bond and will appear in court on July 23.
