Elizabethton Police Encourage Citizens To Lock Cars Following Numerous Reports of Stolen Vehicles in July

Elizabethton Police are encouraging citizens to lock their cars following reports of several vehicles being stolen in the month of July.

A report from the department says 17 vehicles have been stolen in this month alone, and despite the vehicles being returned to the owner, many of these instances occurred because those vehicles were left unlocked with the keys inside. Police are asking that individuals be careful about leaving keys inside their vehicle or leaving their car unlocked.
