Ex ETSU Student Who Dressed Up As Gorilla During Black Lives Matter Rally Receives Judicial Diversion
According to Washington County Criminal Court records a former ETSU student who dressed up as a gorilla during a Black Lives Matter event was sentenced Wednesday by Judge Lisa Rice to five months and 29 days of unsupervised probation and will receive judicial diversion is he successfully completes his probation. Tristan Rettke was found guilty in July of disrupting an organized event, but was found acquitted on four other charges including civil rights intimidation.
