Telemedicine services coming to Johnson City Schools next year
Johnson City Schools are set to partner with Ballad Health to bring telemedicine services to all school system campuses in 2020.
A news release from the school district on Wednesday says this new service will allow a health care provider to virtually examine students through a variety of different ways much like a traditional checkup. According to Debbie Voyles, Ballad Health’s Corporate Director of Virtual Health, this service is set up to be convenient and affordable, while making sure children are properly examined so if they aren’t sick, they can remain in school.
To be eligible to participate in the program, students must have paperwork filled out and returned to school. The full article is available here.
