Sweeping Changes Expected When Virginia Legislature Gets Underway Wednesday
Monday, Virginia Governor Ralph Northam announced his support for legislation allowing no excuse absentee voting and also wants to make election day a holiday. Those are just a few of the sweeping changes expected to take place as Democrats in the Commonwealth take control of the legislature on Wednesday. Other legislation being proposed in the upcoming General Assembly include how Virginian’s vote, the guns they can buy and the crimes for which they can be jailed. Quick action is expected on a number of the high profile issues being proposed in Richmond.
