This Friday Kingsport will hold its 34th Arbor Day Celebration and in honor of the day, students at Roosevelt Elementary will plant a new tree and another tree will be inducted into the Notable Tree of Kingsport Register. This year, a 55 foot tall Persimmon tree located along Shadyside Drive with a circumference of more than 47 inches and a crown spread of over thirty feet in any direction will be inducted to the register.
