UPDATE: Sullivan County Schools go to hybrid schedule beginning Aug. 24

The Sullivan County School Board decided in a 4-3 vote Friday to have students adhere to a hybrid schedule with in-person instruction for two days a week beginning August 24.
The system officially started their year earlier this week by remote learning. The plan for later this month will have students attend classes Monday through Friday on two selected days with internet classes scheduled for Wednesdays.
A color-coded system adopted by school officials earlier this year as a gauge for class status based on COVID cases in the locality, Sullivan County remains in the red category which calls for distance learning.
