Juvenile Suspect Charged With First Degree Murder In Johnson City
Johnson City Police have in custody an unnamed seventeen year old suspect on charges of first degree murder in connection with an early Wednesday morning shooting in the city. Officers responded to 2560 Plymouth Road, Plymouth Ridge Apartments in reference to shots fired in the complex’s parking lot. Officers discovered a white male lying in the parking lot with several gunshot wounds to his body. Witnesses say an altercation developed between the juvenile and the victim as they exchanged gunshots in the parking lot. A male victim, identified as Daniel Nicholas King of Elizabethton was transported to Johnson City Medical Center and underwent surgery but succumbed to his injuries and died. The juvenile is charged with first degree murder, especially aggravated Robbery, possession of Schedule 111 drugs for resale and simple possession of schedule six drugs and was booked into the Upper East Tennessee Regional Juvenile Detention Center.
