UPDATE: Case of suspect in 2016 Washington County, Tennessee murder bound over to grand jury

The case of an Asheville man accused of killing a woman in Washington County, Tennessee has been bound over to a grand jury.
The presentment of charges against Zefrin Leigh Parker, 31, occurred just two weeks after authorities had to secure a Governor’s warrant to have Parker brought to Jonesborough after he tried to fight extradition to Tennessee.
Investigators announced in December that DNA evidence found near the body of Keila Marie Gilbert-Taylor, 40, matched up with Parker from samples in a national DNA directory. Taylor was found on the banks of the Watauga River on Christmas Eve 2016.
