Greeneville preps for normal Independence Day events in July
The town of Greeneville announced plans to present an Independence Day celebration with officials hoping for a normal star-spangled salute this summer after the pandemic.
The 9th Annual American Downtown event is scheduled for July 3rd is free to the public and will begin at 4 pm that evening, will include a nighttime July 4th parade starting after 9 pm and conclude with a fireworks display.
The grand marshals for this year’s parade will be members of the USS Greeneville who are gathering in the town for a 25th-anniversary event. The deadline for entries for the parade will be June 19.
