Kingsport Developer Seeks County Commission Approval For TIF Development Project

Sullivan County Commissioners are expected to vote on a proposed multi million dollar residential development project by Kingsport developer Danny Karst. Karst, is seeking approval to use Tax Increment Financing in his planned, Overlook Residential Development in Bristol, Tennessee near Bristol Motor Speedway. Karst’s plan calls for 158 single family dwellings to built on Raceday Road, with an incentive tax plan, similar to one he used to develop a vacant shopping center property on West Stone Drive in Kingsport. The commission meeting is set for six pm this evening at the Blountville Courthouse.
