Ballad Health CEO Alan Levine announces special bonuses for employees

Ballad Health CEO, Alan Levine, released an important statement on Wednesday over the company’s social media, thanking healthcare workers and announcing a special bonus for Ballad employees. This announcement comes just days after Levine visited Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon with Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin to meet and pay respects to Ballad workers.
According to the statement, all qualifying full-time Ballad employees will receive a $1,250 bonus dispersed over two special payments in March and July. Part-time workers will get a $625 bonus over two payments as well. Details from the statement are as follows:
“If you are a full-time team member and were paid an average of 60-hours per pay period (regular, overtime, PTO and MML) during the timeframe of July 4, 2021 through January 31, 2022, or you began working here more recently and are currently paid an average of 60-hours per pay period (regular, overtime), you will receive a special bonus of $1,250. $750 will be paid in March as a special payment separate from your regular paycheck, and $500 will be paid in July as a special payment separate from your regular paycheck. Part-time team members will receive a special bonus of $625. $375 will be paid in March and $250 to be paid in July in the same manner as the full-time payments. You must be a team member actively working at the time of payout in order to receive the payment. We understand some people may have questions about their individual situation based on unique circumstances, and human resources will consider these issues on a case by case basis. This special bonus payment applies to all team members, with the exception of Executive Vice Presidents and me. Additionally, all Ballad Health team members actively working in May will be eligible for a special PTO cash-out of up to 40-hours, payable during the month of May.”
