Man Confesses To Unicoi County Murder Of Unidentified Female Victim

A man is jailed Tuesday morning after he confesses to the murder of a female victim found deceased in a Unicoi County campground. 29 year old Tyler Lee Owens is now charged with second degree murder, as well as tampering with evidence , abuse of a corpse, and evading arrest. Authorities responded to the Nolichucky Gorge Campground and found Owens trying to escape through the back of a camper, when he pointed a gun at deputies but dropped the weapon. Owens then confessed to killing the so far unidentified female.
