Jonesborough Woman Charged With Financial Abuse Of Elderly

A Jonesborough woman appeared in Washington County Tennessee Court Friday after being jailed on charges of financial abuse of an elderly person. Sheriff Keith Sexton says 36 year old April Riddle, who is a family member and was assisting the victim took checks, used debit card information and wrote checks, cashed them without the victim’s consent or knowledge and used the card to make purchases over the internet and electronically cashed checks. The amount of money taken by Riddle was not disclosed in the press release.
