More Federal Funds Sought For Coalfields Expressway

Officials with the Coalfields Expressway Authority are seeking a total of seven million dollars in Federal funds to continue projects on a proposed 57 mile stretch of the Coalfields Expressway. . So far only three and a half million dollars has been allocated for the project that is expected to boost economic development in the coalfields of southwest Virginia. When complete the Expressway will run through Buchanan, Dickenson, and Wise Counties.
