Meet the Mountains Festival returns to Johnson City August 19, 20

Some areas of downtown Johnson City will be closed to traffic this weekend to make way for the Meet the Mountains Festival. Organizers say Commerce Street and its parking lot will be closed, as well as the Founders Park Pavilion lot now to Sunday at 1 AM.

The Meet the Mountains Festival is free to the public, and aims to highlight the many outdoor recreation options around the region. Families can enjoy a ropes course, zipline, and more for free at Founders Park on Friday and Saturday.
