Great Smokey Mountains closes campgrounds and roads due to wildfire threat

The Great Smoky Mountains National Park has closed Elkmont and Cades Cove campgrounds and most park roads due to the red flag warning. The warning is due to the high winds and the wildfire potential in the area. Park rangers began closing road in the park Monday afternoon.
