DEVELOPING: State Police activate AMBER Alert for baby taken in Scott County

An AMBER Alert was issued by State Police and the Scott County Sheriff’s Office after a child abduction was reported Monday in the Daniel Boone Section of Gate City.

The report said 10-month-old Cedar Samuel Griffith was taken by 30-year-old Ashley Griffith just after 8 p.m. EST.

The statement said the child was in extreme danger. Ashley Griffith was last seen driving a blue Lexus RX 330 with temporary Tennessee tags.
