One dead, one charged after road rage incident off of Interstate 81
The initial investigation into a shooting off Interstate 81 in East Tennessee has labeled the incident potential road rage.
A preliminary report from police in White Pine said the incident took place on Roy Messer Highway near Exit 4, resulting in the death of Jordan Price, 20, who was pronounced dead at UT Medical Center.
The report said the suspect is 59-year-old Derwin B. Wilds of Newport who remained at the scene and is charged with one count of voluntary manslaughter.
