Hard Rock Bristol readies for opening next week

The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino opens next week in Bristol, Virginia. Several special events are planned and will impact traffic. Bristol officials announced Wednesday that drivers on Gate City Highway should watch for altered traffic patterns beginning November 14. Left turns will be prohibited in many places and some traffic lights will be turned off. Those traveling Interstate 81 northbound are encouraged to take Exit 74A for the event, and those traveling I-81 southbound are encouraged to take Exit 1A. Local traffic is advised to seek alternate routes if available. Drivers are asked to use caution and follow posted signage.
