Buchanan County study looking for Corridor Q scenic pull over

A preliminary engineering study will examine the potential for a scenic wildlife viewing pullover on Corridor Q in Buchanan County. The study will be performed thanks to $100,000 in grants awarded to the Buchanan County Industrial Development Authority and the Virginia Coalfield Economic Development Authority. The study will determine the best locations for the project and the cost. Around eight miles of Corridor Q opened in November 2023. The remaining five miles are scheduled to open by 2027, according to the Virginia Coalfield Economic Development Authority.
