Former Johnson County non-profit worker accused of taking more than $12,000

A worker with a non-profit in Johnson County has been indicted by a grand jury on one count of theft after a Comptroller’s Office investigation.

An agency report said Dmitriy Grosebeck took more than $12,000 from an account of the Doe Mountain Recreation Authority using his wife’s log-in information. Both worked at the authority, according to the Comptroller.

Grosebeck made the withdrawal on his last day of employment with the group then tried to conceal the crime by crafting the transfer as a payment to a vendor. The report said Grosebeck admitted to the crime.
