Man involved in Bluff City chase, arrested in Bristol, VA

A man charged with kidnapping has been captured in Bristol, Virginia. Police had been searching for Ricky Hatfield since a high-speed chase around Bluff City last month. Hatfield is facing multiple felony charges from the Bluff City Police Department and also has warrants out of Bristol, Tennessee, for kidnapping, criminal conspiracy, and aggravated burglary. Bluff City Police say Hatfield was captured early Friday at the Shell gas station on Euclid Avenue in Bristol, Virginia. He then was taken to the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail in Abingdon to await extradition to Tennessee.
