Johnson City BOE and new superintendent finalizing contract

Education leaders in Johnson City met with the incoming superintendent for the school system as she and the Board of Education worked out the final details of her contract Monday. Erin Slater is currently the Fort Madison Community School District superintendent in Iowa. Slater’s term with Johnson City will be official beginning July 1 until June 30, 2029. According to the contract, Slater will be paid an annual salary of $189,800.
