Juvenile fatality reported in Erwin motorcycle crash

The THP says a 17-year-old is dead after a crash in Erwin on April 1. A juvenile was reportedly driving a Suzuki motorcycle and was attempting to evade Erwin police near North Elm Avenue. The juvenile passed multiple vehicles on a double-yellow center line before hitting a pickup truck turning onto 2nd Street at a high rate of speed. The crash report says that the juvenile was taken to the Johnson City Medical Center and died due to his injuries. The driver of the Dodge was also injured in the crash.
