Police searching for shooting suspect in Bristol VA

Bristol Virginia Police Detectives and Washington County Virginia Deputies attempted to serve arrest warrants for 37 year old Harley Pope of Bristol Virginia on Wednesday. Upon seeing the officers near Dixie and Corporation Streets, Pope fled from a residence. Pope is wanted for Aggravated Malicious Wounding, firing into an occupied dwelling, and reckless handling of a firearm, all connected to an incident involving the shooting of a Bristol Virginia man on April 5. Mr. Pope is considered armed and dangerous, so residents in the vicinity are advised to exercise extreme caution.
