Body found along Nolichucky River believed to be Helene related

A body was found along the Nolichucky River on Thursday and is believed to be flood-related, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office said. According to Sheriff Sexton, remains were found in the 2000 block of Highway 107 along the river. He added that evidence at the scene indicated that it is a flood-related death. The body will be taken to ETSU for an autopsy.
