Remains found along Nolichucky River identified as missing flood victim

The Washington County, Tennessee Sheriff’s Office confirmed on Saturday that the remains found along the Nolichucky River on May 1 are those of Steven Cloyd. Crews clearing debris located the remains, and Investigators worked with the medical examiner to identify the deceased. Steven Cloyd was one of two people missing from the flooding caused by Hurricane Helene. Nancy Tucker remains missing.
