Human remains found on East Stone Drive in March now identified

Authorities have identified the human remains that were found in a wooded area along East Stone Drive in March. The Kingsport Police Department said the remains were identified as 39 year old Lawrence Miller of Dalton, Georgia, who was last seen in January 2024 in Atlanta. He had not been in contact with family members since then. The remains were discovered on March 13 in the 3700 block of East Stone Drive. After an autopsy was performed by the William L. Jenkins Forensic Center in Johnson City, Miller’s manner of death was listed as suicide.
