New Board of Education member appointed in Carter County

Elizabethton City Schools Public Relations Coordinator Nicole Moore has confirmed that Josh Smith has been unanimously appointed to the Elizabethton Board of Education and will fill the remainder of Danny O’Quinn’s term until the next city election in August of 2026. Smith is a resident of Elizabethton and graduated from Elizabethton High School in the Class of 1990.
