Pennington Gap man to serve 16 years for meth charges

A Pennington Gap man will spend the next 16 years in prison for drug charges. Lee County Commonwealth’s Attorney H. Fuller Cridlin said that Marshall Dale Jones was sentenced on Monday. Pennington Gap Police conducted a traffic stop on Jones on November 1, 2023, and searched his vehicle. Jones was charged with possession of meth with intent to distribute after officers discovered more than 100 grams in his possession. The drugs were packed for distribution and over $2,800 in cash was also located. Jones will serve 16 years in prison, with four years of probation after his release.
