Abingdon man charged with child pornography offenses

An Abingdon man has been arrested after recording a juvenile coworker while changing clothes at the Coomes Recreation Center, according to the Abingdon Police Department. Police said that 53-year-old Brent Robinson was a full-time aquatic coordinator at the rec center. Robinson has been charged with creating unlawful images of a minor and film or photographing child pornography after police said that he used his cell phone and a smart watch to video a juvenile coworker changing clothes. It was added that Robinson was immediately suspended and removed from the premises and has now been terminated. Robinson worked at the center since October 2023.
