Town leaders and Rep. Morgan Griffith assess flood damage in Dante

Town leaders and Congressman Morgan Griffith assessed the flood damage in SWVA on Sunday. Dante, Virginia recieved around 6 inches of rain Friday night, causing extensive flooding in the town. Leaders are still assessing the damage. Nearly 34 agencies from around the region responded to help Russell County first responders. Russell County Sheriff Bill Watson says many homes were flooded but thankfully no lives were lost. Crews started working on the cleanup after extensive damage to roadways, washed out roads, and mudslides.
