Funfest’s Crazy 8’s 8k reports record turnout

As Funfest continues in Kingsport, the Crazy 8’s Race in Kingsport reports a record turnouts this year. Event organizers said there were more than 3,600 participants in total, with more than 2,000 for the 8k and 1,100 for the 3k, which is the highest number of participants ever for the race. Race director Hank Brown said that his goal is to get more than 4,000 participants to join the race. Meanwhile, large crowds are expected for Funfests “Sunset Concert Series” which feature a rock n roll performance from Brett Michaels Friday night, and Country superstar Brad Paisley will headline Saturday Night. The Eastman Fireworks Spectacular will cap off Saturday nights festivities.
