New routes for business and leisure travelers coming soon to Tri Cities Airport

A new airline carrier plans to add two daily routes at Tri Cities Airport in Blountville, according to a report issued by facility leaders and BRIDGE, a regional economic recruiter.
Early details say twice-weekly nonstop service routes from Tri Cities to two international airports on the US East Coast will be established by year’s end. It opens up new routes for business and leisure travel customers in TN & VA, according to Tri Cities Airport CEO Gene Cossey.
The statement said ticket sales for the new destinations will go live for booking at Tri Cities in the coming weeks. A press conference to formally announce those plans is scheduled for Tuesday at the airport.
