Man accused of murdering 19 month old arrested in Johnson City

A man in Johnson City is arrested in connection to the murder of a 19 month old in 2023. Lawrence Everett was arrested in Johnson City at 5:45 a.m. on August 14 and awaits extradition to Craven County. That’s where Everett and another man, Kiyveon Pitts, both face charges of felony murder and attempted murder, for the assault on Nia’Loni Sheptock and her father, Nathan Sheptock.
