Andrew Johnson National Historic Site visitor center to close for renovations

The Andrew Johnson National Historic Site visitor center in Greeneville will close Saturday for renovations. The historic site issued a release Monday that said the visitor center on N College Street is expected to remain closed into early 2026. Work is expected to take about six months to complete. The building was constructed in the 1950’s and the project will include internal structure changes and a new HVAC system installation. The visitor center will move to the Memorial Building next door while the work takes place.
