BVFD extinguishes Monday morning fire at Golden Corral

Fire crews in Bristol, Virginia responded to a fire at Golden Corral on Tuesday morning. The Bristol, Virginia Fire Department crews responded to reports of the fire just after 8:30 a.m. The fire was located in the kitchen area and involved a grease fryer. The building’s internal extinguishing system had activated and crews used fire extinguishers on the fire which was quickly brought under control. Heavy smoke and minor roof damage was reported. No injuries were reported and officials say the cause of the fire appears to be accidental.
