Serious injuries reported in Kingsport crash

One person seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash Tuesday evening on Fort Henry Drive. It happened around 5 p.m. on the section of Fort Henry Drive between Rock Springs Road and Summerville Road. The Kingsport Police Department report says “for reasons unknown,” the vehicle left the road, struck a utility pole, and rolled down an embankment. The driver was flown to Johnson City Medical Center with potentially life-threatening injuries. No one else was in the vehicle. The crash remains under investigation.
