Mount Rogers Community Services awarded defense contract worth $76 million

A non-profit agency in Wythe County, employing people with disabilities, has been awarded a defense contract worth more than $76 million. According to the U.S. Department of Defense, “combat flame resistant type 2 and type 3 shirts,” will be produced by Mount Rogers Community Services, based in Wytheville. The contract was awarded through the U.S. Defense Logistics Agency. The three-year contract runs through Aug. 26, 2028.
