TDEC: mobile hazardous waste collection this Saturday in Greene County

People in Greene County will have the chance to dispose of household hazardous waste this Saturday. The Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation will host a mobile collection service at the Greene County Fairgrounds on Jeff Woods Memorial Drive in Greeneville from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Anyone who brings household hazardous waste can drop off the materials including non residents of Greene County. TDEC will not accept items like ammunition, explosives, paint, alkaline batteries or electronics.
The waste collection service is free, and no appointments are necessary.
