Washington County, TN VFD’s to receive state grant funds

State Sen. Rusty Crowe, Rep. Tim Hicks and Rep. Rebecca Alexander announced on Tuesday that three volunteer fire departments in Washington County, Tennessee, were named recipients of state grant funding that will support training, equipment and operational needs. The Volunteer Fire Equipment and Training Grant and the Rescue Squad Grant from the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance will be distributed to the Fall Branch Volunteer Fire Department, the Gray Volunteer Fire Department Inc and Sulphur Springs Volunteer Fire Department. The grant recipients will be honored Friday in Blountville.
